ON THE ORANGE LINE 2.
Viewed the afternoon rush. 5-6:15pm. Lots of variety of equipment including Bombardier bilevels similar to the one's used in Toronto by GO Transit. Trains are brought through Montreal West from the yard to the main station at Lucien-L'Allier. From the main station the train head to Candiac, St. Jerome and Vaudeuil. Lots of action. Sorry for the bad camera work at the beginning but had to find my sightlines and it was raining. Hard to hold an umbrella and steer a camera too. Enjoy.

Welcome to Montreal, Canada. This extraordinary city, which began life as a French colony in the 1600s, is now a stunning metropolis combining old-world architecture with modern dashes. When Mark Twain visited Montreal in the 19th century, he was so taken by its many churches that he nicknamed it “The City of 100 Bell Towers.” These numerous buildings are often part of Montreal sightseeing; marvel at the imposing stone façade of Christ Church Cathedral, or stand beneath the great arched ceiling of the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. You can spend days exploring the city’s many sacred spaces, but Montreal tourism is so much more than that; if you’re a foodie, you’re in luck, because the residents of Montreal adore a good meal, whether it’s poutine from a streetside bistro or fresh produce f...

Montreal - Quebec - Canada Travel Guide, Vacation World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Montreal - Quebec - Canada http://goo.gl/LHslES First-time visitors never fail to be surprised by Montreal; French-speaking with grand old buildings and a European vibe, it sits apart from other North American cities. In fact, it really is like no other. Montreal combines old-warm charm and metropolitan energy, small-town warmth and friendliness with vibrant, cosmopolitan cool and bohemian vibes with lively, upbeat sparks. Unlike the modern sprawls sometimes associated with other Canadian urban centres, Montreal is anything but samey. In fact, its intoxicating diversity -- when it comes to ethnicity, culture, language and cuisine -- is what makes this city tick. For gourmands, the city ...

Travel video about destination Montréal in Canada. Canada's second largest city, Montreal is a fascinating blend of European charm and the American way of life. In Vieux-Montreal, narrow lanes and small houses recall the past and also the lifestyle of the original settlers. In the old fire station at Place d'Youville - one of the oldest markets in Montreal -- is the Centre d'Histoire in which the 350 year cultural history of the city is on display, from the development of the Irokese Settlement, its prolific fur trade, and right up to today's shining, energetic Metropolis. Although Montreal is located 1,600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country's interior, to the ocean. A trip on the Saint Lawrence River with the pleasure boat, B...

Hop on board the national passenger carrier of Canada and travel between the two largest cities in the Great White North. Start off in the Salon Affaires at Gare Centrale before boarding classic HEP2 equipment formerly from American streamliners. Breakfast with hot beverages and Montreal-style bagels await business class passengers as the train departs. Catch glimpses of the St. Lawrence River and New York State as the train crosses from Quebec into Ontario. Business class passengers are treated to a hot lunch as the train races along the shores of Lake Ontario towards Toronto Union Station in the shadow of the CN Tower.

A journey from Toronto to Montreal on a VIA train going across the Canadian countrysides. I was on train #64 departing Toronto at 11:30am and arrived in Montreal at 5:05pm. Friday, July 1st, 2016 - Driving from Midtown west, NYC. Took the usual north bound route out of Manhattan via the west side highway, through the Bronx and Yonkers, up the Taconic Parkway, towards Albany and heading up via 87 north into Canada. Followed Google map directions to a boarder control station in the boonies of Canada because it was apparently faster(?). 6 and a half hour drive, mostly uneventful. The KFC in Malta, New York had really bad(small) chicken tenders.
Climb aboard Amtrak train 68, The Adirondack, for a ride south from Montreal Gare Centrale to New York Penn Station. Enjoy the view from the picture windows of Amtrak's only dome car as the train rolls through the Quebec farmland and along the shores of Lake Champlain. The leaves have begun to turn as autumn rolls into the Adirondack and Green Mountains. Night falls over the Hudson River as the train races south from Albany after changing locomotives and dropping the dome car. On this journey, train 68 was no more than 5 minutes late at any station, and arrived into Penn Station several minutes ahead of schedule.

Here is a ride on one of the three brand new electric buses of Société de transport de Montréal. These were built in late 2016 and tested until entry into service in June 2017. This is a video of the full route from Square-Victoria to Angrignon. However, to the dismay of many transit fans and those that frequent the route, these are in service very rarely and it took me a dozen times trying to get a ride in these buses. Usually the route is served by diesel buses that are unfortunately very terrible as they have bad suspension, no A/C, bad seats, and in the case of 2009-13 diesel buses, the chevrons on the back that cover the windows, and because of that, these are usually avoided by transit fans whenever possible; it should be noted that it will be extremely difficult or impossible to mee...
The trains arriving and departing at the south end of Montreal Central Station on Monday 23 April 2007 between 6:25am and 11:10am are viewed from the Delta Hotel. Trains from Amtrak, AMT and VIA are seen with F40PHs (of various sub classes), P42DCs and a BBD overhead electric. The front locomotive on AMT trains #801 & 807 seems to be numbered 257 but I think it is actually 287 (perhaps a trick of the early morning light since Bill Linley's photo clearly shows it to be 287). Cars include HEP 1 & 2, LRC, Renaissance, Amfleet and modified single decker GO coaches.
